A Beautiful Rose and Dogwood Flora

Welcome ~  Hello . . and Happy Day to my Fellow Tea Drinkers!

TODAY's GLIMMER OF HOPE . . . .
I'm grateful for the friendships
that brighten sorrow's way;
Because my cup of happiness
Sustains me everyday!
by Clay  Harrison

I truly treasure my Dogwood Flora Tea Cup by Royal Albert....It was a coffee mug swap last spring 2015!

Just this weekend.... my second passion is a good garage sale or estate sale.... Guess what I found.... peeking at me was a bit of dogwood with a butterfly.  I turned to the back label and it said... Andrea by Sadek.... a bit of google further told me the specifics....

.. yes it is now mine next to by Royal Albert cup set!

A Teacup filled with Stitches

     Good Morning Oklahoma
Tea Connoissuers ~ Here and Beyond
I've seen this little gem over the years.....at swap shops but the price was never quite a bargain.   Some of the dealers markup year after year $18 - $25 to $33 as a money maker.

But I've found a friend at a quaint ancient of days shop just last January 2016..  who has an eye for beauty and really fair prices!

Here's the routine.... far from routine...oh so exhilirating.  Safely wrapped into a simple white bag... I walk to my car
At the stop light... a quick peek.... can barely wait for my precious buy!
It's home... It's Royal Albert stitchery in a cup!

   Petit Point China
My morning sip of coffee/creamer. . . sip, sip, sip   Yum... satisfying!

"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suite me."  C. S. Lewis

I found the above quote from a browse at The Tea and Hat Lady   Great word, books and tea knowledge!  I've skipped over to Ruth's lovely site "Antiques and TeaCups for her Linky Party!

I hope you'll visit and participate......  Special friends

Go Placidly.....wTea Cup in Hand!

...  and no less.... YES! I am @ work today.

go......placidly

Definition:  adjective
pleasantly calm or peaceful; unruffled; tranquil; serenely quiet or undisturbed:

placid

having a calm appearance or nature
from Latin placidus  peaceful;

Truly, I'm grateful for the downtimes I spend during my workday.
I remember my first year of college @ Langston University:   I found the

Desiderata

and it's call and meaning has never left my inner core!

Oh, How I also love a Weeping Willow Tree..... this one of off 36th & Western and Ollie Street-OKC...     Breathtaking.  I rolled the windows down, slowed in driving thru the neighborhood, fully experienced the shadows and shade  if this tall, elegant tree.   I certainly didn't feel like Weeping.... but Joy and Rejoicing!  Nobody but God!!!  PTL

Today
I'm sipping from another Royal Albert Kentish Rocthe light floral scene on my estate sale collectible for $3.00 cup only!

Sandi @ Rose Chintz Cottage
made reference to the Royal Albert Leaf  Design on her cup....
It's an 'aaaah-haaa' moment when I see the beautiful small details!

I'll probable be so enthusiastic in learning my china.....  The dainty double gold edged cup is described as "COUNTESS SHAPE";   an older version whose backstamp is As Supplied to Her Majesty Queen Mary.

I googled... and was pleased to find a bit about the Kentish Rockery RA series (discontinued via 1960-1980!)
Since I have only the cup.... ...Etsy shop photos (below) show the a scenic garden with birds and butterflies in dainty shades of pinks, greens and blues.... someone described flowers like foxglove and roses!!??  adding to the romanticism of English royalty!

Have a wonderful day.......  I'd love for you to share in my visits to

Tea Time ~ 2 Live Simply !

All Things Royal !

It's the First Tuesday in the Month of May.......2014      ~

And last night... I danced in my chair.... for the world to see.... in Downtown Oklahoma City @ our Thunder Game!  Sideways...Upside down...yippee!!

And today.... with equally supreme joy!!!  (Thank you Lord) !!!  I drink from an overflowing cup of thankfullness and joy in the simple things in life!!!

I'm a little mystified that this cup does not say "REGAL SERIES" as I googled out several other collectors across the web???
But, I'm partially over that.

You see me! Enjoying my te @ work today!   My really, really favorite color is BLACK!
Yep... in so may ways!

I'm linked with Rose Chintz Cottage

Won't you join us for Tea  ~  Peacefully submitted

My newest passion ~ sippin tea and quiltin quilts !

I had to go snooping at an antique shop out on 10th street in Oklahoma City during the lunch (2) hour!

I found ($15) a Royal Albert Bone China FLOWER OF THE MONTH.... dated 1970 . . . no less it was my birth month of JANUARY! (1954)

The wooden stand.... is just too cute!!!    A teacup and 5 1/2" saucer in great condition.   A pleasing green reflection... named Snowdrops!
and then.... as my girlfriend says quite often.... PRESENTATION is EVERYTHING...  I bought a nice lil hankie.... added a thimble.   and no less that a hand painted plate with a chickadee on a beautiful limb!

My mother used to nickname me "Chicadee".... Mama was born in Chickasha... and so were four out of six children...(me!).  I remember my Big Mama had a talking-tweeting bird in a cage!

Oh.... when I get home now-a-days....   It's sewing and quiltin quiet time for me!
