The lady becomes talkative... says her grandmother had so much stuff..... more tea-towels that she hand crocheted....

like this.... I say....    she says "Yes I'll have to get it and bring it out tommorrow...."

How much?    $1    = ok   (you know I'm happy and smiling and bustin loose inside!)

She continues to say "I'm getting rid of a lot.  Come back tommorrow!

I think to ask the really famous question..

DO YOU THINK YOU WILL HAVE ANY TEA CUPS////  ???

She thinks a minute.... says Yes... you wanna see them... they hanging in a rack inside...!!!???

I point out two of them, and her two boys pull up a chair and reach ever so gently to give me the matching sets.....the blue one & saucer... the other pretty one and saucer (there are about 4 with trinkets....)

OOOOOHHHHHH.......   SHE SAYS"   I'LL TAKE $5.00 FOR THE TWO OF THEM"

Great Tea Cups @ A Garage Sale!

Shout for Joy!....   Guy asked me what am I collecting.  I said Tea Cups... He says "well, They are $5.00 each but for the both. they're 2 For $8.00!"

SOLD.....two cup and saucer sets...... need I say more!!!
Royal Vale...........................   It was always my habit to drink from a light cup that I can see the bottom of what I'm drinking.  So I don't really like flowers and print inside my cups!   This larger handle and shape fits my hand nicely!

 Royal Windsor.................  no nicks, chips, scratches.... smooth and pretty@ and drinkable!

I googled around and will share information on these later.... with more show and tell on my display!

Oh So Lovely "Made in America" by Castleton China

I'm hooked -- hook- line - and  - sinker....

'Tis another Thursday... and another Estate Sale on NW Highway.  I see it on my drive to work, and returning at the lunch hour!   I find the lovely pink white flowers on Turquoise lined with Silver trim....   I find that I really like drinking from a low-base, broad rim tea cup (not one that stands up high and erect like the Royal Albert!!

The drink is so inviting in the cup!!  It's about 4" wide and 2 1/4 inches tall:  saucer is 5 7/8 " wide.   It is noted as a footed cup and saucer set in the Corsage pattern by Castelton-USA.   Price $7.50 for both...

I bought two... I'll have to find a friend to share a cup of tea!
